# Do I Need to Declare Cosmetic Surgery?

Find out when previous or planned cosmetic surgery must be declared, how to complete medical screening and whether it affects your travel insurance.

**Yes.** If you've previously had cosmetic surgery or are planning to have cosmetic surgery, you must declare it when purchasing CoverForYou travel insurance.

This allows us to assess your medical circumstances and determine whether cover is available.

## How do I declare cosmetic surgery?

When completing medical screening:

1. Answer **Yes** to the relevant medical screening questions.

2. Select or enter **Cosmetic surgery** as the medical condition.

3. Answer any additional questions accurately.

You should provide details of relevant previous or planned procedures when requested.

## What if I've fully recovered from cosmetic surgery?

You must still declare previous cosmetic surgery where required by our medical screening process, even if you've recovered.

Having undergone cosmetic surgery does not automatically mean you cannot obtain travel insurance.

If we can offer cover, your quotation will reflect any additional premium and applicable terms.

Once you've purchased the policy, your declared and accepted medical conditions will be covered in accordance with those terms.

No separate approval is needed after purchasing the policy on the terms quoted.

## What if I have surgery planned after my holiday?

You should declare planned surgery during medical screening.

If your appointment or surgery date changes and affects your travel arrangements, you should not assume any resulting cancellation or curtailment costs will be covered.

Claims arising from circumstances already known when purchasing your policy may be excluded.

Contact us before purchasing if you're unsure whether planned surgery affects your cover.

## Am I covered if I'm travelling abroad for cosmetic surgery?

**No.** CoverForYou travel insurance is not suitable for trips where you intend to travel specifically to receive cosmetic surgery.

The policy excludes claims arising directly or indirectly from surgery, medical treatment or investigations that you travel to receive, including related complications.

## What if my circumstances change after purchasing?

If you undergo further surgery, develop complications or experience another relevant change in your health, contact us to check whether your cover may be affected.

You should also check with your medical practitioner that you're fit to travel.
