You are covered for the costs of cancelling your trip if, on the day you're due to depart, your flight is delayed or cancelled and no suitable alternative is provided within 12 hours of the scheduled time of departure.
You are additionally covered for:
1. Reasonable additional accommodation and public-transport travel expenses to continue your trip if, on the day you're due to depart, your flight is delayed or cancelled and no suitable alternative is provided within 12 hours of the scheduled time of departure.
2. The cost of cancelling your trip if, within 7 days of your original planned departure, your flight is rearranged by the airline such that you miss 50% or more of your trip.

If your airline changes your flight or cancels it less than 14 days in advance of your trip, then for most flights to or from the UK the following rules apply:
If these changes result in a delay of less than 4 hours, your airline will not be required to provide any compensation.
