Can Children Travel Unaccompanied on a Policy?

Guidelines for unaccompanied minors traveling alone under our policies, including documentation requirements and flight/border rules.

Can children or minors travel alone/unaccompanied under our insurance policies?

A: Yes, cover will apply under the policy as normal for an unaccompanied insured minor, provided that the following conditions are met:

  • Compliance: All local rules, regulations, and airline-specific legal processes for minors traveling alone must be strictly followed.

  • Travel Documents: The minor must hold all correct, relevant travel documentation (such as parental consent letters, valid passports, and specific visas).

  • Important Exclusion: Please note that the policy does not provide any coverage for financial losses or delays if a minor is refused travel by an airline or denied entry by border clearance due to traveling alone, failing to meet a travel requirement, or possessing incorrect documentation.

Please note: All cover is subject to the policy terms, conditions, exclusions, and any applicable excess.
