CoverForYou offers travel insurance for a wide range of ages, including Single Trip policies with no upper age limit when purchased directly from us.
The age limits depend on the type of policy, whether you require additional cover such as Winter Sports, and where you purchase your insurance.
If you purchase your policy directly through the CoverForYou website, the following age limits apply:
Policy Type | Age Limit |
|---|---|
Single Trip | No upper age limit |
Annual Multi-Trip | Up to 75 years old |
Backpacker | 18–50 years old |
Winter Sports Cover | Up to 64 years old |
There is no upper age limit for Single Trip travel insurance purchased directly from CoverForYou.
This means older travellers can obtain a quote without being restricted by a maximum age, provided they meet the other policy eligibility requirements.
Annual Multi-Trip policies are available to travellers aged up to 75 years old.
Backpacker travel insurance is available to travellers aged 18 to 50 years old.
Winter Sports cover is available to travellers aged up to 64 years old.
This age restriction applies to the Winter Sports cover, even where the main travel insurance policy has a higher age limit.
Yes. Lower age limits may apply when purchasing CoverForYou travel insurance through a price comparison website.
This includes websites such as:
Compare the Market
Go.Compare
Confused.com
MoneySuperMarket
The age limits and available products may differ from those offered directly through CoverForYou.
Important: Always check your policy schedule or validation certificate to confirm the eligibility requirements and cover applicable to your purchase.
If you're unable to obtain a quote through a comparison website because of your age, you can also get a quote directly from CoverForYou.
Yes. Children under 18 can be insured under an eligible CoverForYou travel insurance policy.
However, additional requirements apply if they are travelling without an adult.
If a child under 18 is travelling unaccompanied:
A parent or legal guardian must be named as the main insured person on the policy.
The child or children travelling must also be named as insured persons.
The child must comply with all relevant airline rules, travel regulations and documentation requirements for unaccompanied minors.
The parent or legal guardian does not need to accompany the child on the trip, provided the policy and travel requirements are met.
Please note: A policy cannot be arranged solely in the name of an unaccompanied child without a parent or legal guardian being included as the main insured person.
If you're unsure whether you meet the age or eligibility requirements, our team can help explain the available policy options.
Alternatively, you can get a travel insurance quote online.
Please note: All cover is subject to your policy's terms, conditions, exclusions, age restrictions and any applicable excess.
