Your annual policy protects you for an unlimited number of trips over a 12-month period, provided that no single holiday exceeds the following day limits based on your direct cover tier:
Silver Level: Up to 32 days per trip.
Gold Level: Up to 45 days per trip.
Platinum Level: Up to 62 days per trip.
Note on Winter Sports: If you have added Winter Sports cover to your Annual policy, you are protected for a maximum total of 28 days of winter sports activities across the entire policy year.
2. Single Trip Policies
Purchased Directly: If you book your Single Trip policy directly with us, we can provide cover for a single holiday lasting anywhere from 3 to 94 days.
Winter Sports Limit: Single Trip policies with a Winter Sports add-on provide cover for the full duration of your specified trip.
3. Policies Purchased Via Comparison Sites
If you purchased your policy via a price comparison website (such as Compare the Market, Go Compare, Confused.com, or MoneySuperMarket), the maximum trip durations and rules will vary. Please check your specific policy wording and validation certificate for further details.

A: Backpacker policies are built for extended, long-term travel. The limits and rules regarding your trip duration and home visits include the following:
1. Policy Durations & Add-ons
Direct Purchases: If you purchase directly through our website, your Backpacker cover can last for up to 18 months.
Winter Sports Limit: If you add the Winter Sports option to your Backpacker policy, it will provide a maximum of 17 days of winter sports cover during your trip.
Comparison Site Purchases: If you purchased your policy via a price comparison website (such as Compare the Market, Go Compare, Confused.com, or MoneySuperMarket), the maximum duration will vary. Please check your specific policy wording and validation certificate for further details.
2. Temporary Return Visits to the UK under Backpacking policies:
You are permitted to return home to the UK for brief visits during your policy term without invalidating your overall insurance, subject to your direct coverage tier:
Silver and Gold Tiers: You are allowed 1 return visit to the UK lasting up to a maximum of 14 days.
Platinum Tier: You are allowed up to 2 return visits to the UK, up to a combined maximum duration of 31 days.

While you are back in the UK for leisure purposes, no insurance coverage applies. You cannot claim for missed or delayed flights, medical issues, or luggage losses while you are inside the UK or during your transit back home.
Your coverage will officially pause the moment you depart from your abroad destination to head to the UK, and it will automatically resume the exact moment you land back at your international destination to restart your backpacking trip.
