Q: Am I eligible to buy a travel insurance policy if I have a terminal medical diagnosis?
A: Our policies contain strict rules regarding terminal diagnoses. We are unable to provide standard travel insurance cover if your condition meets our policy definition of a terminal illness.
Please review the strict eligibility boundaries below:
When Coverage is Refused:
We cannot provide any travel insurance or medical coverage if your condition has been confirmed by a medical professional as having a life expectancy of less than 12 months, or if your medical treatment has transitioned into active palliative care.
When an Evaluation is Possible: If your medical prognosis explicitly indicates a life expectancy of more than 12 months, your condition does not meet our automatic terminal exclusion. In these specific circumstances, you may still apply, and your condition will be individually evaluated through our medical screening system to see if restricted or conditional cover can be offered.
Please note: All cover is subject to the policy terms, conditions, exclusions, and any applicable excess.
