Am I Covered to Perform or Entertain While on a Trip?

Explains policy rules regarding singing, playing instruments, or performing for an audience while traveling, highlighting the strict exclusion for entertainers.

Q: I am going on a trip (or a cruise) and will be performing or singing during my travels. Am I covered?

A: No. Our policies do not provide cover for any form of public performance or live entertainment. If you are traveling with the intention of performing for an audience, we are not a suitable provider for your trip.

Please review the strict guidelines regarding entertainment activities below:

  • No Performance Cover: Performing for an audience—such as singing during dinners on a cruise or playing live music at a venue—is completely excluded from coverage.

  • Recreational Exceptions: You are only covered for musical or performance activities if they are done strictly for personal enjoyment or exercise. For example, casually playing a guitar by yourself or taking a dance class in a gym for personal fitness is fully covered.

  • Cruise Guest Exception: The only exception allowed on a cruise ship is participating as a casual dancing partner on the guest side of the ship. However, please note that there is completely zero Personal Liability cover extended to you while doing this.

Please note: All cover is subject to the policy terms, conditions, exclusions, and any applicable excess. Full details can be found in the policy wording.
