Do I Need to Declare Infertility Tests or Treatment?

Find out when infertility investigations need to be declared and when an underlying medical condition may affect whether we can offer cover.

Do I need to declare infertility tests or investigations?

Not always.

If your infertility tests are not related to an underlying medical condition, and your doctors do not suspect that an underlying condition is causing the infertility, we can offer a quote and you do not need to declare the tests.

What if doctors suspect an underlying medical condition?

If your doctors suspect that an underlying medical condition may be causing the infertility, and further investigation or treatment is planned, we are not a suitable provider at this stage.

Examples of medical conditions that could be linked to infertility include:

  • Endocrine disorders.

  • Hormone imbalances.

  • Diabetes.

  • Injury.

  • Previous hernia repair.

  • Prostate cancer.

If an underlying condition is identified, this may need to be declared separately as part of your medical screening.
