How do I make a claim?
For claims other than a medical emergency, the quickest way to make a claim is online.
You can:
Go to your Customer Zone.
Select Make a Claim.
Enter your postcode when prompted to verify your identity.
Follow the instructions to register your claim and provide the required evidence.
Should I contact my travel provider first?
Yes.
Before making a claim for costs that may be refundable, you should first contact the relevant travel provider, accommodation provider or booking agent and ask whether they can provide:
A refund.
A voucher.
Alternative arrangements.
Any other compensation available to you.
Where relevant, you may need written confirmation that a refund is not available.
You do not need to submit your insurance claim until your travel provider has formally responded to your request.
Do I need to notify you immediately?
Claims should be registered as soon as reasonably possible.
However, where you are waiting for a travel provider to confirm whether they will refund your costs, you can wait until they have formally responded before submitting your claim.
Keep copies of any correspondence, receipts and supporting evidence, as these may be required when your claim is assessed.
What if I have a medical emergency abroad?
If you are abroad and need urgent medical assistance, contact the Emergency Medical Assistance Service as soon as possible.
