Can adults on the same Annual Multi-Trip policy travel separately?

Explains independent travel rules for adults named together on an Annual Multi-Trip (AMT) policy.

Yes. Adults insured under the same CoverForYou Annual Multi-Trip (AMT) policy can travel independently or together without affecting their insurance cover.

There is no requirement for all named adults to travel together.

How does this work?

If you're an adult named on an Annual Multi-Trip policy, you can:

  • Travel independently: Take a trip without the other adults named on your policy.

  • Travel together: Travel with one or more of the other insured adults.

  • Take separate trips: Travel to different destinations at the same time, provided each trip meets the policy requirements.

Each insured adult is covered for their own eligible trips, subject to the policy's terms and conditions.

Is there anything I need to check?

Before travelling separately, make sure:

  • You're named as an insured person on the policy.

  • Your destination is included within your policy's geographical area of cover.

  • Your trip does not exceed the maximum permitted duration per trip.

  • Your policy remains valid for the entire duration of your journey.

Please note: All cover is subject to your policy's terms, conditions, exclusions, limits and any applicable excess.
